A FEW SIMPLE STEPS

How to use the image compressor

  1. 01

Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image.

  2. 02

Choose Fast or Ultra compression, pick an output format, and adjust quality.

  3. 03

Compare the result and download the version you prefer.

When to use Ultra compression

Ultra uses dedicated local encoders: AVIF, MozJPEG and high-effort WebP. It spends more time searching for efficient encodings and can reduce file size further, without changing dimensions. It is not AI and does not guarantee a smaller result at equal visual quality. Up to 12 megapixels; PNG remains in Fast mode. AVIF output supports transparency, but check your destination: it cannot yet be opened as an input in Editbop.

Smaller is not always better

JPEG and WebP trade detail for smaller files. Start around 80% and inspect text, edges and skin tones. If the result is larger than your original, keep the original or lower the quality.

Why the PNG quality slider is disabled

Browser PNG encoding is lossless and ignores a quality setting. To reduce a PNG substantially, resize it or use WebP. JPEG removes transparency and uses the background color you choose.

How can I reduce JPG file size?

Choose JPG output and Ultra compression, then lower quality gradually while checking the preview. Savings depend on the source. PNG is lossless; its quality slider does not reduce file size.
